Board President End of the Year Letter

November 2013

Greetings friends and supporters of Grace Mission,

As we approach the time of year where we as believers set a day aside to give thanks to God for all He provides and another day to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, it seems appropriate to reflect on the blessings of the past year and to anticipate where God will lead in the year to come. It is with great joy and excitement that I share with you that, through God’s grace, we continue to impact Haiti for Christ! Some of the 2013 highlights of our ministries include:

·         Bringing praise, and honor, and glory to God through the 6,000 members of our 31 churches!

·         Sharing the Gospel of Christ in our communities that has brought over 250 new converts to salvation this year alone!

·         Growing four new churches over the past three years – one each at Bon Repos with 62 members, at Ganthier with 170 members, at  Savane Henry with 82 members, and our newest at Boudarie on the southern peninsula of Haiti where 120 believers are worshiping regularly in a building they have begun to construct on their own!

·         Baptizing new believers including a service that took place in the Caribbean Sea near Cotes de Fer with a dozen new followers of Christ!

·         Transforming lives by developing strong disciples of Christ as members of our churches; by developing church leaders at our annual leadership conference;  educating over 2,200 students in our 13 schools; and providing food every month for children, babies, and new or expectant mothers!

We give God all the praise and honor and glory for what He is doing to rescue souls out of the clutches of Satan and to prove His name as the one and only true God!

We thank you our friends and supporters for your role in this ministry. And as we look to the year ahead, we are asking each of you to continue to help us as we minister in Haiti. There are three things you can do to strengthen our ministry.

1.       Pray – We do not ask this lightly. We believe that God’s work is accomplished most effectively when it is undergirded with prayer. We further believe that God answers the prayers of his people and that He blesses those who humble themselves before Him with prayers, praise, thanksgiving, and petition. And we believe that our work in Haiti will not be successful without a host of believers going before God on our behalf.

2.       Help Grace Mission meet its year-end financial obligations. While God has blessed this ministry tremendously, He has not yet provided for all of our financial needs. As we approach the end of the year, we are in need of about $30,000 to pay our pastors, church leaders, teachers, and to continue to proclaim the Gospel. A one-time contribution of any amount will help tremendously!

3.       Partner with Grace Mission in the new year – Please help us as we take new steps to finance two priority ministries by developing on-going sources of revenue to support God’s work through Grace Mission. Our goal is to acquire 500 Project Child sponsors of $25 per month to provide for the ongoing education and development of the students in our schools. And to secure 30 churches or individuals who will commit $100 per month to support the leadership at our 31 churches.

We know that many of you are giving significantly already, so it is with great humility that we bring this additional request to you praying that God will speak to your heart on behalf of the lost souls in Haiti.

May God richly bless you during this Christmas season,

Bob Good, GMTH Board President
